The living area overlooks a beautiful terrace with a lake view, furnished for enjoying outdoor evenings surrounded by greenery. The bathroom is complete with a shower and washing machine, next to which is a staircase leading to the loft, used as a double bedroom. Menaggio is also a starting point for exploring other towns and villages around Lake Como. You can easily take a ferry to visit Bellagio, Varenna, or Tremezzo, each offering its own charm and characteristic attractions.<br><br>GETTING AROUND<br><br>For the convenience of our guests, we suggest arriving by car, but you can also use public transportation. The ASF Autolinee C10 bus line connects Menaggio to Como and other towns along the lake, and the bus stop is close to the property. From the pier, a local ferry service will take you to Como, Bellagio, Varenna, and other towns on the lake. Please note that during high season, there may be long queues at the ticket office. Tickets can also be purchased online on the Navigazione Laghi website. There is also a ferry that transports cars. From Como San Giovanni station, there are regular trains to Milan Central and Switzerland (Lugano, Bellinzona, Locarno). From Como Nord Lago, there is a railway connection to Milan Cadorna. The nearest airports are Milan Malpensa, Milan Linate, and Orio Al Serio in Bergamo. A shuttle service can be arranged to and from the airport at an additional cost. Como city is the urban center of the area, but the towns are gems with beautiful villas on the lake.<br><br>When moving around and strolling along Lake Como, especially in small towns, it is necessary to wear comfortable shoes.<br><br>There are many public drinking water fountains in the area, and the water is safe to drink unless otherwise indicated. Tap water is also drinkable. You can bring your reusable bottle!<br><br>If you are looking for a relatively easy hike in the area and still want to enjoy mountain views, the Greenway of Lake Como is an easy-to-follow path that connects the lake towns from Colonno to Griante and does not require too many climbs. A bus will take you to the starting point in Colonno.<br><br>Look for traditional restaurants where you can taste local foods, such as Lake Como fish dishes.<br><br>In Italy, many shops (especially small ones) and services are closed in the middle of the day, so be sure to plan your shopping accordingly.<br><br>Lake Como is one of the deepest lakes in Europe and the deepest in Italy.
