Enjoying a superb setting in the heart of bustling Southwold in Suffolk, Parrotfish Bay is a stylish, contemporary apartment ideal for families or couples on holiday together. The accommodation has been finished to a high standard and its wonderfully bright and airy creates a real feeling of light and space. The second-floor living area has a welcoming sitting area with a generous amount of seating and doors leading onto a shared terrace, which is ideal for enjoying a drink or bite to eat alfresco. When you start to get hungry, then make your way to the well fitted kitchen which comes complete with all you need to be able to produce great food for your whole holiday party. At mealtimes, you can either serve up at the less formal breakfast bar or pull up a chair at the elegant dining table; both lend themselves to long and lazy meals together. Both bedrooms are beautifully presented; choose from a king-size or a twin and with a shower and a bath, there won’t be any queues for the bathroom either. After breakfast and a morning coffee on the terrace, it’s time to get out and about and explore. Suffolk has so much to offer whether you’re looking for high energy adventure or something more sedate; there is something for everyone. Take a stroll into delightful Southwold famous for its pier and beach and also home to the well-known Adnams Brewery or head up the coast to Thorpeness which also fantastic beaches; a great spot for a picnic. Walks, hikes and cycle rides aplenty can be had anywhere in the Suffolk Coast and Heaths Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty with golfing a popular pastime here with clubs found at Southwold, Thorpeness, Halesworth and Beccles, all nearby. Family attractions include Africa Alive Zoologicial Reserve, Framlingham Castle, Ellough Park Kart Circuit, Go Ape Thetford and Easton Farm Park. Exceptional
We found that the external lighting in the area was poor - however the owner could do nothing about that, however an external light that worked next to the external entrance door would be of great assistance with placing the external door key . We used a torch on subsequent nights. The bed was incredibly comfortable, however the settee was less so. Apart from that the apartment was exceptionally well appointed and the parking was excellent

This is a well situated flat and whilst this holiday let appears to have everything there was for us the problem of lack of shade and privacy in the open plan living room. Although a fan was provided this was not enough to make the room bearable on a really hot day. There are no blinds or curtains as there are in other surrounding flats and there are four enormous almost floor to ceiling windows .

Another lovely week in Southwold at Parrotfish Bay. Great location with parking outside the property. Had everything we needed for the week. Only small gripes were that the beds were a bit firm for us and a couple of bits have been slightly damaged (chipped plate and the blind mechanism in the second bedroom). The previous occupants weren't overly careful with cleaning some cooking utensils. Nothing that spoilt our holiday though! Would definitely return.
