The cottage was lovely! Very peaceful and well located, both in the farmyard with the cows (which we loved!) and for nearby attractions. It was peaceful inside, very nicely decorated and put together and we didn't hear anything from the cottage next door, even though there was a large group staying there. The bathroom was luxurious, the bed comfy and the wood burner very warm, I hope we get to stay there again!

Flawless. Just the spot for relaxation. Very comfortable and loved the open plan layout. Loads of wood provided for the log burner, a welcome pack of tea, coffee, milk etc. Now then, some soundproofing is required between Alder and it's neighbour, you really can hear everything from next door. The broadband is also unreliable, I understand this is probably a temporary fault but couldn't watch tv without tethering mobile signal. Well equipped and helpful hosts.

Alder Cottage was warm and inviting as soon as stepping through the door. We were very impressed with the layout and rooms, lovely large hallway with space to hang coats. Living area and kitchen beautifully appointed, every item available in the drawers and cupboards. Lovely comfortable bed and the underfloor heating gave an all round equal warmth to every room. A welcome pack was much appreciated with milk in the fridge.. All round a wonderful week's stay and will be returning.
