Very good
The lounge furniture was not comfortable with no head support. There was not sufficient cooking utensils and there was no provision for waste separation and recycling.

Really loved this property. A well designed conversion of the model farm building. High presentation standards and attention to detail in terms of decoration, fixtures and fittings, furniture and cleanliness. Great location set in beautiful countryside surroundings. Host was friendly but not intrusive making us feel that we could contact them at any point should we need to…we didn’t need to. We only live 30 minutes away but just wanted a change of scenery and time to relax without feeling that we have to be sightseeing everyday and this cottage provided that. We would definitely consider returning for a few days when we need to unwind again.

Holly Cottage in Beautiful Surroundings We had the most wonderful stay at Holly Cottage. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel so welcome. Spotlessly clean, cosy and comfortable. The owners were very friendly and helpful and loved the touch of the welcome pack. You are not too far from visiting Chatsworth House, Carsington Water to name but a few. Cannot wait to return.

This property is set in a beautiful location and is well-designed and furnished with thoughtful details. However, it has a downside: the option to link to another cottage. This meant that we were often disturbed by noise from the other cottage, making it difficult to relax and read a book. It was such a shame, if we were to come back would definitely book a cottage that wasn’t able to link to another one.
