We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Courtyard Cottage which is ideally placed for accessing the Pennine Bridleway. The cottage was immaculately clean and very well equipped and the bed was very comfortable. The stairs are steep but there is a sturdy handrail. The weather was glorious and we were able to enjoy tea on the terrace and watch drystone wallers at work. Thank you Helen for your detailed instructions, warm welcome and for the wine and biscuits etc.

A lovely stay for my adult son and myself in this warm,cosy,well equipped country cottage with all the facilities that we needed.Helen and Gordon who own the property were friendly and available to help if needed.We found it an ideal location for accessing walking routes in the Peaks and extensive information packs showing attractions and activities were available to view in the cottage.We would definitely book Courtyard Cottage again.

Lovely cottage with a lovely rustic charm. Our host, Helen was really welcoming. Helen and Gordon gave us some great tips on things to do and see, and we loved their enthusiasm for Derbyshire and we particularly enjoyed the hens! Courtyard cottage was really clean with good facilities and had good WiFi. The cottage is ideally located for some great walks. Buxton and Castletown were stand out visits as well as Mam Tor and you are not too far away from Matlock and Bakewell. We also recommend Lantern Pike! The local pub, The Devonshire was friendly with good food (basic but tasty) and huge portions! We really thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Peak Forest and cannot recommend Courtyard Cottage enou …

We were greeted by lovely stone barns within a spacious garden area A trolley was provided to transport our luggage from the car park to the front door of the cottage. Inside is exactly as shown in the advert with everything provided to make our weeks stay comfortable. The treads of the stairs are fairly steep although at 85 years I managed them. Bedrooms are spacious and have views over fields and woods.My only criticism involves the up and over steps to the seating are at the rear of the barn which were very steep. The owners are a very welcoming couple, helpfull but not intrusive.x

The perfect accommodation. The cottage was ideally situated in the heart of the Peak District with magnificent views. The hosts had clearly made an exceptional effort to provide everything a guest could possibly need. We had a wonderful week and would highlyrecommend this lovely cottage.
