A detached stone cottage tucked away behind a row of cottages, in the centre of Youlgreave. This pretty village location is ideal for a small family or couples to feel right at home and explore the countryside surroundings and beyond. The interior of the property has been decorated to a loving standard with architectural designs that bring a colourful twist to the layout. You will look forward to returning home after a long day and preparing those appetizing meals in the kitchen, before sitting down with your loved ones to discuss up and coming adventures over dinner. For a cosy night, why not spend some time in the living area, whether its watching a movie or reading a good book in front of the woodburner, be sure to make the most of the peaceful atmosphere. Wander up the stairs to arrive at the family bathroom, complete with a shower over for a classic place to get ready ahead of your afternoon. A good nights sleep is promised in the twin bedroom with colourful bedding and floral prints that bring a warming feel to the room. The double bedroom is laced with a deep purple tone and views of the valley tie the space together well. On a sunny day, enjoy the patio area perhaps resting with a refreshing drink or take a stroll to the riverside. The village of Youlgreave, once the centre of Derbyshire's lead-mining industry, now plays home to three pubs, all serving food, two shops and a delightful medieval church. The attractive market town of Bakewell is nearby and offers a good selection of shops, pubs and restaurants. Everything you need for a heart-warming stay.

Good
Jasmine cottage was a little tucked away but a nice quiet location. Youlgrave is a lovely village with great pubs, coffee shop, village sjop and bakery. Great place to stay. Parking is tricky but there is a public car park up the road. Heating was very tricky. We had to override the system everyday to get any heating. Owner was away, out of country so no help with it as didn't get my message until the next day.

This was a bigger property than we usually stay in, which was a treat as we could spread out. It was a comfortable and practical base for our walking holiday. Youlgreave is the perfect spot for exploring such a beautiful part of the countryside.

Lovely cottage. A set of oven gloves would be useful and safer when using the oven.

Unfortunately on arrival one of our party really needed the toilet so he went SADLY we then had to run out find a shop and purchase toilet roll as there was none provided. I really thought we had returned to our camping days when you had no choice but to take your own. The TV had VERY limited stations we could not access terrestrial TV even though this was advertised. When one of the party has mental health issues and must access his programme or meltdown ensues it proved an unpleasant but avoidable situation. Logs were provided but no firelighter could be found.

We had a lovely stay at Jasmine cottage, it would be even more fabulous if the garden was cleared the views over the dales would be stunning. Sadly we didn’t enjoy the outside space to its fullest as the holiday cottage next door had a very noisy family staying and their garden runs the full length of Jasmine with no privacy. The luck of the draw I guess as to who is staying there, not the fault of Jasmine cottage at all. Youlgreave is a fab village with lots of amenities a short walk from the cottage and the walks down to the rivers are great, definitely a place to stay if you like lots of walks without having to drive anywhere first. Cottage is well equipped for a holiday with everything y …
