Ankommen in Silves
Marktstände, Kirchenglocken, Kaffee — und ein Vormittag, der langsam beginnt.
Silves liegt in Algarve, Portugal. Am Morgen duftet die Bäckerei nach warmem Brot, die Stühle der Cafés stehen schon draußen, und auf dem Markt baut der erste Stand seine Kisten auf: Zitronen, Oliven, Tomaten, ein Bund Rosmarin. Der Kaffee kommt in kleinen Tassen, und niemand drängt.
Später läuten die Glocken, und am Abend liegt das Licht schräg auf den Fassaden. Unten auf dem Platz bleiben die Kinder bis zur Dämmerung, aus den Fenstern riecht es nach Holz und Feuer. Auf den Stufen der Kirche sitzen die Großeltern im Schatten, und aus den Küchen kommt der Geruch von Knoblauch und Kräutern.
Am späten Nachmittag leeren sich die Gassen, die Stühle wandern in den Schatten, und aus den Bars klingen die ersten Gespräche. Wer jetzt über den Platz geht, sieht die Stadt von ihrer ruhigen Seite — und weiß meist schon, welche Terrasse am nächsten Morgen Sonne hat. Unten am Hafen liegen die Boote still, über den Dächern wird der Himmel rot, und aus den Küchen zieht der Geruch von Gegrilltem durch die Gassen.
Und dann der erste Abend: Taschen abstellen, über den Platz, ein Glas Wein, während es dunkel wird. Wir vermitteln die Häuser dieser Stadt gemeinsam mit den Anbietern, die sie führen — die Terrasse mit dem Abendlicht gehört dann Ihnen.
